Bounce back -Chapter 1

There have been instances which make one feel alone, tired but brave enough to have a call . This blog is about one of such instance with me .

I am part of IT industry for last 10 years exactly and here is one story of "Bounce back -Chapter 1". Let me keep you dated back to Oct 2018 . At hometown everything was going good and we were not any sure how Boltic race would be ahead. 

My father started to have some breathing issue but hid info from me .Since I was living in Pune with my own digital world , I couldn't get the right nerves. He started to bear pain and family decided to let me not get involved - It is one of the most disturbing pinch I would ever have . 

05 Feb 2019 I was informed on call to come back as father was getting continuous pain in breathing .Immediately I informed my managers and left for Lucknow. I was pretty clear this could be heart related issue as 1 year back father gone through angioplasty though medical reports were suggesting Lungs issue and father was roaming for same treatment . We decided to go for all heart related medical reports including echo 2d etc and it came as Heart most fatal issue known as "Cobra Blockage". 

We were clear of this info by 10th Feb after round of discussions with medical experts and 12th Feb we moved Medanta Gurgaon where Dr Trehan helped us to understand issues and suggested to quickly move for CABG bypass surgery as 95% blockage was blocking breathing severely . 

Operation Lucknow* (Bounce back - another chaper) was successful and we have been advised to be there at Medanta Gurgaon till Feb 28 for routine checkup after discharge on 22 Feb . I explained above story to read the pain line which I was going through being single son .

 I informed my managers same and to join by Mar 1st week . Lead was great to understand situtaion and helped across but management decided almost daily to push me to start work - Work from Hospital . I fed up after some days and started giving few interviews meanwhile . One of MNC confirmed joining date and other mailed me my joining later on 1 Mar 2020. 

1 Mar 2020 Friday We were back to hometown Lucknow and everything came under control . I was extremly happy to see my father to be back with full energy - double to me precisely . Same day 8 PM I put paper and returned back on Monday 04 Mar 2020 . Here no doubt lead was surprised though I was confident to not waste a single min with org. who cant read emergency concerns. I was on notice period and on same day I was admitted to Pune hospital due to kidney stone - oh well, it was really so sudden as you read . 

Under medicine I was on leave for 2 days and this put higher hand to IT managers . 

 As I Joined back , HR called me to inform since I have been on leave code in Feb and 3 days leave in Mar they might consider strict action like termination . I remember time around 02.10 PM and I started laughing loudly .

 HR : Why are you laughing ? 

Me : I thought you are HR and have all info before this meeting ? 

HR : yes yes, you were on leave and its long stretched leave .

 Me : Are you updated about my status in system ? 

HR : ??? Me : I resigned last week . oh , there was silence . Silence which we heard in movie Dabang when Chulbul Pandey slapped criminal and remains only one sound breaking all the noise across : Shunya. 

After 30 sec - 

HR : Ohk, so we can still take action and extend your notice period . 

Me : Please do . I have 2 offers who are ready with 4 month notice period too.

 I came out smiling passing near by managers cabins and it was enough burn . I decided to give my best to learn and read people across industry during notice period . No, I was not disappointed even a single moment specially having close friends & team FITE MH (Indian IT Union) around me always boosted my confidence to have fight back .

Even came through solid experience to handle things to consider family first with 0 compromise. 

Employer CG released me 90th day morning itself and I enjoyed next few days with family to start again with another journey . These series of events are uncalled for anyone but I wish everyone come safe with happy family and safe life . 

Let's set priority of life !
